The Office of Constituent Services

On February 21st, we were introduced to the Office of Constituent Services by its Coordinator, Ms. Robin Shell.  The purpose purpose of the office is to serve as a neutral party in the resolution of concerns or conflicts and is available to assist the parent, family, or community member at any point in this process.  Their goal is to resolve concerns within 10 days or less.  Essentially this office serves as a liaison between the "higher ups" and the stakeholders.  Among the concerns this office addresses but not limited to are crossing guards, bullying, transportation, and some personnel issues.
I encourage everyone to view their information on the PGCPS website http://www.pgcps.org/To ask questions, their email address is oocs@pgcps.org.  On the website, you will also find a link to submit concerns as well as online videos.

Ardmore PTA Meeting will be next Tuesday, February 21, 2012 @ 7pm in the Ardmore Library

Dear Parents,

At the next PTA meeting, there will be a representative from the School Board to introduce The Office of Constituent Services.

Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) has created a new office to expedite the resolution of conflicts and concerns. The Office of Constituent Services, located at the Sasscer Administration Building in Upper Marlboro, will assist parents, members of the community, and staff throughout the resolution process by quickly responding to inquiries and connecting people to the appropriate office or staff member.  Their email address is:  ocs@pgcps.org.

This is a good opportunity to meet a representative from the school system and bring your questions or concerns.  If you have any questions about this meeting, please send an email to: aepta.secretary@gmail.com.
